Book III · The Buried Truth

The Buried Truth

The road moves east. Across the Sunderwater, into Thurak — the continent of stonehalls and steppes and ancient things buried under the weight of what younger races decided not to remember.

The void is no longer distant. The orc shamans have been tracking it for years. The dwarves have been filing it under the wrong category for generations. And Breck Ironhallow — who left Kharanor sixty years ago without looking back — is finally going home.

Synopsis

The Buried Truth

The Story

The road moves through Kazgrom, Durgath, the orc steppes, and finally Kharanor, where the second half of the Vel-Kel waits in the deep vaults.

The Pressure

The void is no longer distant. The orc shamans felt it coming before anyone else did, and the dwarves buried what frightened them.

The Turn

The road ends at Kharanor. What waits in the deep vaults has been waiting for a very long time.
